Thar She Blows,In Byron Bay. There were whales all over the shop in Byron Bay I kid you not. The funny thing is many folks didn’t even see them. I suspect most people where just relieved to wake up this morning and find that Armageddon was not actually upon us. The eerie orange grey glow of yesterday’s dust storm was nowhere to >>>>> More

Byron Bay October 3rd 2009

In Byron Bay’s Weekend Review. Yes folks the October long weekend has arrived, and it’s very busy in the bay. We’ve already had a big week, although there wasn’t many good waves around expect for last Sunday. But there have been a few moments of fun, for those who took time to look. It’s been a week of whales, dolphins, wild winds, strange swells and still no rain. There’s been tragedy in neighbouring Indonesia, Samoa and The Philippines, naturally there seems to be a general unease about what’s next? I suppose the only answer can be life on life’s terms. Live it each day to the full and be grateful for every day we have by giving something away, even if it’s just a wave or a smile to a stranger. These terrible events are so very sad and yet they remind us how precious it is to be alive today. Enjoy your weekend folks offer a little respect to each other and try giving a little to receive a lot, In Byron Bay.

What an amazing and utterly wonderful day it was In Byron Bay. We got a message from Sean Morris of Byron Bay Eco Charters last night asking us if we’d like to come out whale watching today. Well that’s a no brainer, if you’d read our review about these guys, you’d understand that Yoko and I jumped at the chance. Sure it meant finishing late last night and getting up early today, but after my last trip with these guys, I wasn’t prepared to miss this for anything. Last time we went out, we had a ball, saw heaps of whales and well, it was a blast. But we were in for something very >>>>>MORE

It was all a bit of an anti climax In Byron Bay. Or at least so it seemed for a few hours. After yesterday’s events, it’s hardly surprising. Yet in reality it was in fact a very lovely day indeed in Byron Bay. The weather was warm yet not too hot. The winds were light and there were still remnants of >>>>>>More
